Services for me 🙋🏽
Preparing for my future
- One-to-one career coaching sessions focusing on your aims and future direction
- Set personalised topics for a career planning discussion, which might be exploring choices to change career or retrain, creating your job search strategy, interpreting your career story - or something different altogether
- Practical advice and support preparing for job applications (CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn) and practising interview technique
What can I talk about?
The benefit of one-to-one support is that it really is your session and the discussion is centred around the support you would like to have. You might have no idea where to start with your next career steps, lots of different ideas you don't know how to get started with, or a focused idea and want me to work with you on preparing for job applications by reworking your CV. Maybe you have an interview coming up and you've not had one for many years. Perhaps you want to find a fulfilling career but don't know don't know what that would be, or you see challenges preventing you making a move or decision. All of this is fine - let's talk.
How long is a session? How many do I need?
- First things first, we'll have an initial call for 15 minutes so that we can have a discussion and see if we would be a good fit working together.
- Individual career coaching sessions and practice interviews are typically one hour.
- Redesigning and reviewing CVs, cover letters or application documents might require less meeting time but more timing working outside of this, so I would agree upfront what I expect a project to cost.
- Based on our call, I will indicate at the outset a plan for our work together, and what we could aim for in each session if we have more than one. Of course I happy to design this around you, and it might be we decide to arrange a follow-up at a later date.
How do I book a session?
- Visit the Get in Touch page to contact me and let me know a little about yourself and how I may be able to help.
- I'll then contact you to set up our initial call - this can be via phone or online, your choice. If you're in a very different time-zone (it's happened before!), we can even do this over email.
- We'll then establish a price for the careers support - whilst I have extensive experience, through Future, Referenced I want to offer fair rates to clients that are accessible and reflect the enjoyment I hope to get out of our working partnership!
- Any individual sessions will normally take place remotely, allowing for flexibility and convenience in scheduling for us both.
What do clients say?
Barnaby is very professional and exceeded my expectation! He repaired and re-built multiple templates of C.V. and Cover Letter for me to fit different openings. While the tasks might seem difficult for many others, he could complete all tasks within deadlines. I got an interview since then. This never happened to me (that quick) before! One strength worth mention is that Barnaby studied my profile and C.V. deeply, rewrote my C.V. and cover letter without losing my original purpose and style. No HR jargons and down-to-earth communication throughout.

As a post-graduate majoring in Financial and Commercial Regulation, I had first hand experience of Barnaby's excellent career coaching skills in helping me with finding the right career opportunities after graduation. With Barnaby's support, I was guided on a path that matched both my academic and intellectual ability which led to securing leading roles with the Bank of England and KPMG LLP. Whether it is interviews, changing careers, discovering what you are good at or applying for a job; I am confident that Barnaby can help you achieve that, as he helped me in my pursuits with securing employment with some of the top employers in the United Kingdom.
Financial Regulation Manager, Professional Services Firm, UK
Barnaby was a great help for me in my applications. He helped coach me through multiple mock interviews and always provided me with constructive criticism. Barnaby made sure to research the company and the role I was applying for and then asked relevant questions in the mock interview setting. He always provided on how to better structure and phrase my answers - ultimately this proved successful as I secured the role.

Barnaby has been instrumental in my interview preparation for both internships and full-time consulting positions. During his online sessions, we did a mock interview where he asked me questions and gave insights that were highly tailored to my industry. Additionally, Barnaby always manages to create a welcoming virtual environment that will put you immediately at ease. I strongly recommend contacting Barnaby for a coaching session as he invariably will provide you with helpful frameworks and advice that will make you ace the often challenging interview process.

I just wanted to let you know that I got that job you helped me prepare for. This is my second week in the job and so far it seems like a great fit for me.
I really benefitted from practicing my interview technique with you, so thank you very much. It is certainly something I would do again and recommend to others.
